Directions : St. Germain-des-Fossés is 6-7 hours drive from Calais and situated approximately 8 km north of Vichy. The area can be approached from the north via the A71 or the A77/N7 and from the south via A75/71. The A77/N7 route avoids Vichy. Just after Varennes-sur-Allier, take the N209, direction Vichy. The St Germain-des-Fossés turning (D173) is shortly after Billy on the right. Avenue Colonel Privat is 1 1/2 km on the right before you reach the roundabout by the railway bridge and Post Office. It is signed to the SNCF. The A71 routes will come via Bellerive or Vichy which are 8 km. to the South. Follow the N209 from Gannat. Continue left on the N6 (direction Charmeil, St Pourcain , Moulins) at the Bellerive roundabout by Decathlon sports shop. If coming from Thiers or Vichy centre this roundabout can be found by crossing the bridge to Bellerive and then turning right at the roundabout direction A71 Gannat. Follow the N67 at a further roundabout. St Germain-des-Fossés is to the left of the N67. Pass through the town centre. Go under the railway bridge. Follow the road up the hill and Avenue Colonel Privat is on the left just after a garage. It is signed to the SNCF.
